This Campus Safety: Fire, Safety, and Health Requirements for Spray-Finishing Operations (IACET CEU=0.1) Course provides an overview of key fire, safety, and health requirements associated with paint spray booths and spray-finishing operations. In this training, we will be focusing much of our time on the fire safety regulations published by NFPA and relevant OSHA requirements for employee safety. Participants will learn about some of the potential physical and health hazards associated with spray-finishing operations through real-world examples and other relevant sources.
Requirements for booth construction, electrical equipment, the handling of flammable and combustible liquids, operations and maintenance, ventilation, electrostatic finishing tools, and protective equipment and hygiene are all listed and discussed.
